Don't Help Pickpockets Help Themselves

Have you ever been pick-pocketed? Have you ever thought? And 'only after it happens that we realize how we can be prepared. What is amazing, though, is that over half of all people who have stole something in this way, they do nothing to stop it happen again!

Pickpocketing is a common offense, surprisingly, did not help because many people make it too easy for thieves to do there, dirty work. Pickpockets usually work in small teams, allowing thieves to steal something, and the ball to someone else only in a few seconds. For the victim, this makes the crime almost untraceable, even if you see who did it.

So if you're at the airport, get on a bus or simply buy a coffee in a crowded area, taking some simple steps can prevent you from being an easy target. Here are some indicators that will make the strongest possible for any would be thieved to steal valuables --

1. If you carry a wallet, always carry in the front pocket of his trousers. A wallet in your back pocket is a very simple theft
2. Do not wear a lot of jewelry. Make your stand as a potential target - and one with the money!
3. Play only the money needed for the day, and keep it in a pocket separate from your wallet or purse.
4. For bags, use one made from a hard material, such as leather, as is easy to cut a bag or cloth bag. In addition, use a bag with straps because it is much harder to fly out of the hands or fall.
5. Use a bag with a zipper or a flap that fold over the bag and hang.
6. Take only one credit card with you - it is much easier to keep safe and if of theft, is just one of your cards, not all.
7. See a list of phone numbers needed to cancel the stolen cards to your phone and on a piece of paper (if they get your phone too!)

We can never be immune from pickpockets, but by taking some simple steps, it becomes more difficult for them to steal from you. Thieves looking for easy money (easy money = less chance of being caught), so the harder, you make it, the more likely to be ignored.

This is so useful. I travelled through Europe and in some places in Italy are renowned for pickpockets. It is easy to be complacent if it is not something you have to deal with at home. We tend to carry more cash when travelling too. Thanks for the useful safety tips.
