Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful habitat for a variety of wildlife species. Incline towards adventure tourists come here in large numbers. Locate in the enchanting Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu, which is an important pilgrimage Tiger Reserve of India. It was the first sanctuary in southern India.

The landscape includes the beautiful mountains, valleys, rivers, marshes and forests. Mudumalai National Park covers an area of 321 sq km and is separated from the Bhandipur National Park on the river Moyar. The best time to visit the sanctuary is from February to June.

Flora:

You can guarantee your eyes with amazing wildlife such as elephants, Gaur, Banner, Macaque, Common langur, tigers, leopards, chital, panther, sloth bear, treat Python, Barking Deer, Four Antelope, Otter, Crocodiles (Mugger), Giant Flying Squirrel , Sambar, Hyena, Wild Dog, Wild Boar, Mouse Deer, Spotted Deer, Jackal, Hare, Porcupine and Mongoose.

Birds

For birdwatchers, the park offers beautiful birds such as: Peacock, Gray Jungle Fowl, Red Spur Fowl, partridge, quail, Goggle Eyed plower, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Large Racket-tailed Drong, The Magpie-robin, Spotted Babbler, Small Green Barbet, Green Pigeons Brown Dove, Malabar Gray Hornbill, Bulbul, Mynahs, eagles, falcons, buzzards, harriers, falcons and king vulture. Some migratory birds are also found here. There are about 266 species of birds in the park
